Talking About Routines

From BBC Learning English
I have two points to share here:
1. I obtained a badge and I have never expected it! 😊
2. What is routine? We live from day to day. We have to do work (our jobs). We want to go for holidays. We need money for it.Thus, we need to have an income from our job.
We need to eat everyday. We need to find foods, prepare foods or buying foods. We need money in order to get our foods. So, we need to have an income  in order to get our food.
In our working place, we have colleagues and so, they are friends. Other friends are from our varsity mates, our housing areas etc. We might be selective to not have many close friends. Those might be acquaintances, someone we know but we don't really know much about them.
And yes, family. It's not easy to define. Does family mean we are married to have own family or family included the home we are brought up with siblings? What about foster family? Not own biological family or we even don't know anything about it?!

Updated today, 20September25. Unintentionally I came across this last night about the animals. They too have families and titles. I made a picture from the extracts I gathered.
You can read from there...😊

These terns and queries are the aspects of life. We don't live without any of those. Thus, these form the routine of our lives.
Yesterday, I achieved this badge. This is also my routine in doing studies, I hope to achieve something as a record. And yet, I am still hoping to get an income from a job..

About food
Breakfast
Recently I heard this from BBC Learning English about British traditional breakfast.
Yes, it's quite different from my place. In my country, our usual breakfast enjoyed by all races in Malaysia are "nasi lemak" and "roti canai".  During my schooling time, even my varsity years, my breakfast was usually instant noodles. My other menus for my breakfast is bread and self prepared steamed cake. I attached the picture here as sample.
Sometimes, I also use yam or sweet potatoes to replace those sweet stuff. This is the salty version. 😊

Lunch in Malaysia πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ
We eat a lot of rice because it's our staple food. I found two websites to describe what are our typical rice meal menus. A few of those are my favorites πŸ€—. https://foodandroad.com/malaysian-food/#:~:text=1.,a%20sweet%2C%20sour%20fish%20sauce.
And
Certain rice meals are also the special iconic food in certain states in Malaysia. For example, "nasi kerabu" and "nasi dagang" are the food in Kelantan and Terengganu (East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia). "Nasi minyak" in Kedah and this rice menu is also usually served during the Malay weddings.
Penang is famous for its "nasi kandar".

Another rive menu is turmeric glutinous rice with curry. This is usually used for special occasion such as baby full month or one month old (Chinese), and for Malays (I am not sure what occasion) and Indians for praying (yellow rice).

Those meals mentioned are not specifically for lunch but also for our dinner too. This I think it's totally different from the Western countries where you all have different types of  meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Am I right?

That day I came across a new word from Mr Neil. He said "hangry" which is a combination of "hungry" and "angry"!
I think it makes sense!

Do you know in this region, there is a festival observed by the Chinese (Taoists) called "hungry ghost"? Actually now is the period of time and it's going to be over soon. The information can be found from the internet about what and how they are doing during this period of time (two to four weeks). The peak celebration was already over, on 6September25.
